Terms
Cadence is bought once, made by one person, and keeps everything you write on your own devices. There is no account to close and no subscription to cancel. What follows is the honest version of what that means, including the parts that are not in your favour.

Cadence is written and published by Gjorge Karakabakov, an individual, reachable at gorgekara@gmail.com. "The developer" below means that person. There is no company, no team and no support desk — which is worth knowing before you decide how much of your life to keep in it.
Using the app means these terms apply. If you do not want them to, the remedy is to delete the app; nothing of yours is held anywhere else.
Buying Cadence gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use it on the devices you own or control, under the terms Apple applies to your purchase. There is no seat count and no limit on how much you put into it.
You may not sell it, pass off a modified copy as the original, or strip the app apart in order to republish it as something else. Reinstalling your own purchase as often as you like is fine.
An App Store or TestFlight copy is also covered by Apple's standard licence for applications. Where that licence and this page disagree, Apple's wins for those copies.
Apple distributes the app but does not make it. Apple has no obligation to support it or to answer for it, and any claim about the app is between you and the developer. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third party.
Everything you write in Cadence belongs to you. The developer claims no licence over it, no ownership of it, and cannot read it — there is no server holding a copy. The privacy policy is the long version.
Because the data is only ever on your devices, keeping it is your responsibility too. Settings will export the lot to a single JSON file whenever you ask.
Deleting a record deletes it, immediately and without a copy. The two whole-store commands in Settings — clear all data, and erase everything — do write a backup first and abandon the delete if that backup fails, but that is the only automatic safety net in the app.
A device that is lost, wiped or replaced takes anything not exported with it. Take your own backups of what you would be sorry to lose.
Sync is off until you switch it on, and when you do, your data is stored in the private database of your own iCloud account. That service is Apple's, governed by Apple's iCloud terms, and it counts against your iCloud storage.
The developer cannot see it, cannot recover it, and cannot fix it when Apple's service is having a bad day. Sync is a convenience, not a backup service.
The app will happily track your medications, your fasts, your weight, your workouts, your moods and your money. It records what you tell it and adds up the numbers. It does not know anything about you.
Decisions about your health or your money should rest on something better than an app that is only as accurate as what you typed into it.
Cadence is free. Every module, every screen and the export that gets your data back out work on one device without paying anything, and that is not a trial — it does not expire, and nothing is withheld behind a countdown.
One thing inside the app is sold: iCloud sync, which keeps the same data on more than one device and is what sharing is built on. It costs $14.99, paid once. The Mac and iPhone versions are one app rather than two, so that single purchase covers both. There is no subscription, nothing else to buy, and no charge for later versions.
The sale is Apple's: Apple takes the payment, issues the receipt and sets the price in your own currency, which will not be an exact conversion. The developer never sees your payment details. If you reinstall the app or move to another device, Restore Purchases in Settings puts the unlock back at no further cost.
Sync being off, whether because it has not been bought or because you switched it off, changes nothing about the data already on the device. It stays where it is, in full, and stays exportable.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by the developer, through reportaproblem.apple.com. The developer cannot issue, approve or refuse one, and has no way to reverse a purchase on your behalf.
Any statutory right to cancel that applies where you live is unaffected by this page.
Cadence is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose or that it will run uninterrupted or without fault. It is written by one person, and it has bugs in it that neither of us has found yet — paying for it does not change that, and is not a support contract.
Some places do not allow those exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law there allows.
To the extent the law permits, the developer is not liable for lost data, lost time, lost money or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using Cadence — including anything that follows from a reminder that did not fire, a sync that did not run, or a record that went missing.
Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Features may be added, altered or removed between versions; the changelog records what actually shipped. The app may one day stop being updated altogether.
If that happens, the copy on your device keeps working for as long as the operating system supports it, and your export still produces a plain JSON file that does not need Cadence to be readable.
Cadence is rated for all ages and collects nothing from anyone. It is a personal notebook, not a service, and there is no account for a child to create.
These terms are governed by the laws of North Macedonia, where the developer is based, without affecting any consumer protection you are entitled to where you live.
If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
