The Greek salad recipe with a photograph of the dish across the top, a photo gallery, its times and servings and calories, tags, and the ingredients with a button to send them to the shopping list.
Recipes are picked by looking, so the dish comes first.

What you get

Recipes with photographs

Times, servings, calories, ingredients and method, with a gallery per recipe, since the good photo is rarely the first one.

A week of meals

Plan breakfast through dinner. The planner and the recipes know about each other, so you retype nothing.

Shopping you can read in an aisle

Send a recipe’s ingredients straight to the list. Big chips with quantities on them, because you are holding a basket.

One button for the week

The meal planner sends everything the week implies to the shopping list in one go, which is the only reason most of us plan meals at all.

Asked about Kitchen

What does Kitchen cover in Cadence?

What you cook, when you will cook it, and what you need to buy first. It draws on the Recipes, Meal Planner, Shopping List, Food Tracking modules, each of which has a page of its own.

Is Kitchen on the iPhone as well as the Mac?

Yes. Cadence is one app on both, laid out again for a screen you hold in one hand, and iCloud sync for $14.99, paid once, keeps the two holding the same data.

Does it need an account?

No. There is no account, no server and no sign-up. Everything is kept on the device you typed it into, and exports to one JSON file from Settings whenever you like.
