Overdue, due now, done for now
Three groups, and the last one earns its place: it tells you the towels are back on Tuesday instead of waiting to ambush you.

By due or by area
Two buttons at the top. Sort by what is late, or by kitchen, bathroom and whole flat for when you are standing in the room with a cloth.

Never done is a state
Mopping the floor says never done and stops pretending to be a day late. Every job carries its own interval.
