Overdue, due now, done for now
Three groups, and the last one earns its place: it tells you the towels are back on Tuesday instead of waiting to ambush you.

By due or by area
Two buttons at the top. Sort by what is late, or by kitchen, bathroom and whole flat for when you are standing in the room with a cloth.

Never done is a state
Mopping the floor says never done and stops pretending to be a day late. Every job carries its own interval.

Can I switch Household Chores off?
Yes. The library in Settings has a switch beside Household Chores, and turning it off takes it out of the sidebar, the search and the Today screen. The other 26 switchable modules work the same way.
Does Household Chores sync between the Mac and the iPhone?
Yes, once iCloud sync is unlocked for $14.99, paid once and covering the Mac and the iPhone together. Until then Household Chores keeps its data on the device you typed it into, and it goes nowhere else.
